I can't wait till theirs something concrete out there to track other than speculation of the models. When does the GFS come out and will teh GFS join the other models.

Not too much different through around 3-4 days. Shows dueling lows in the bay of campeche/sw gulf and the gulf of tehuantepec area.. don't think i have ever seen that before (in reality not the model world!)

u know what my fear is guys that if we a major storm threaten land we will not be able to get on storm2k this place will probably :blowup:

00z GFS at 108 hours

At 108 hours this 00z run has a low at the Bay of Campeche.

new model seems to be a little more nw than the 18z run through 4-5 days. however the upper air pattner isn't so hot:

00z GFS at 138 Hours

00z GFS does not show anything that seems to be a cyclone,only a weak low. Look at 138 hours.

Let me remind everyone that the GFDL many times is quite good at intensity several days out. Here was the GFDL forecast for Wilma when it was still an invest.
