Yeah, it was good last year. I believe it was the only one that predicted Katrina to go SW across Florida and for Rita to keep the Keys out of the worst part of the storm.

Click on the storm #.

Click on just show me the NHC models. And find the storm in the drop down menu.

I think something might just form in that large mess of thunderstorms in the western Caribbean. Looks too much like Arlene last year.

The NW Caribbean is climatologically favorable this time of year. Looks like a big mess right now down there thankfully it is all just south of South Florida and the FL Keys but will it creep north and give us some rain? :D

Does anyone have a current wind map? I think thats what its called that shows the direction and speed of the winds in the caribbean?

If the members remember,there haved been two invests,90L for an area in the South Atlantic in March and 91L which was a test invest in April.So I guess that they decided to go to the 90L again and eliminated those two from the record.

The LLC seems to have made landfall over the Yuctan. But there appears to be a MLC/LLC trying to form about 100 miles from the coast under the edge of the convection. Worth watching its not moving at all right now.

I think there will be many center reformations with this. Could have something form under that huge ball of convection in the Caribbean.

which wind map is usually shown? I see them from time to time on here?

There is 10 to 15 knot shear over the system right now...With a slight 5 knot decrease northeast of the expected LLC. I will be back tomarrow.
