Its too early in the season for classic tropocal development. The models, especially the tropical ones are more designed for later summer and don't do as well with this type of system that is developing off an old frontal trough.

What ever does develop will be sheared, with most of the squalls east of the center.

btw, the dewpoint here in Baton Rouge is about 60 degrees, so there is plenty of dry air it will have to work with if it was to come north.

Blue lines represent low level inflow...red circle is mid-level center (IMHO)

yes, that looks right on. I think it will slowly drift NNW toward Cancun, then North and probably back into Fl.

Been gone for 3 hours and look what happens.........all these threads and not even a td yet.........but I do see that trend ending by the end of the weekend.........are my eyes focused clearly and has the center formed further to the east? Catch me up please..........concerned. :eek:

that 104KT is the 950mb wind. The actual wind at 10m is only of cat 1 intensity
