It's been said in here a 1000 times untill you have a definite LLC that the models can initialize on all of this is conjecture. My worry goes beyond the cyclone itself. Tropical cyclones striking the pennisula from the Gulf side have caused some of worst tornado outbreaks. Anyone on the east northeast side of this system as it crosses Florida needs to remember that. Luckily one the premier experts on tropical cyclone tornado genisis is the head of the NWS office in Melbourne.

Yep, you are exactly right. Inland can be as horrible as the coast except there isn't storm surge... when Jeanne shirted the west coast it was absolutely awful here, worse than Frances as far as wind and tornados.

My prediction sets the stage for such - remember several tropical cyclones, such as Danny (1985) and Cindy (2005), had the tornadoes do the bulk of the damage...

Good links! Some banding could be evident. This is a wait and see game for sure.
