The weather is starting to change a bit up here just north of Tampa. Since about noon, the air has gotten very muggy and still. No wind at all at this point. High level clouds just started filling in the sky within the last hour or so. Its still somewhat sunny, but that will be changing by tonight/tomorrow I'm sure. Looking forward to some nice rain.

OD 42, with a TD, TS or even a H1-2, there is little to no concern about surge. I think you can rest easy about this one unless things change drastically which appears highly unlikely.
If it even holds together and stays on course, you'll get a lot of rain and some wind.
IMO,
Lynn

wow..Key west is currently reporting sustained winds of 31mph with gusts to 37mph! that is pretty strong for being in the very outer bands of this system. In fact...they are currently recieving winds just 4mph lower than the NHC says the system's strength is!

Those gust are pretty dangerous, even if this system makes landfall as a TS, Cane force gusts can still blow.
