Overcast skies. That's probably going to be the extent.

The rain chances are better tomorrow even here in the other coast. Since it is winding up a bit more you folks on the other coast will get into the rain action. The center will be closer as it passes to the north and there is a lot of energy to the south..Still raining in Cuba..

Yeah there will be periods of rain and storms across the entire South Florida region today but tonight and tomorrow it should pick up even more for these exact reasons...center will be closer as it passes to the north.

I will be surprised if we get anything more than passing showers here.
Especially given the relocation of the center almost 100 miles further west than anticipated.

Key West discussion pegged it to be 300 miles west of there and it is 400 miles west.

IMO, We are well out of range of any major rain here in PBC

I disagree, check out the latest radar loop showing intensifying cells in the Gulf Stream getting ready to wrap NW into the Palm Beach metro areas - we'll see some good rains IMHO.

*waiting for my rain*
Looking at the radar I just got jipped. Went out and fertilized my grass in hopes of rain in the next 30 minutes. Wind is picking up outside though. :cheesy:

Great to have some relief. I have a cheap thermometer on my back porch, said it was 101, only 30 minutes ago. Felt like I was stepping into an oven. Now that it's started raining, that thermometer is reading 74. Maybe the calibration is off, but that still shows a drastic drop in temp. Thank goodness!! :D It's only been raining for about 15 minutes and my backyard looks like the Everglades!

Well paint me a genius

We just got a nice squall, winds gusty and nice pounding rain even with some thunder.
Now, will this continue or, like other west coast storms; will we get just a couple like this?

Radar looks impressive with activity sweeping in from teh Atlantic waters so I may be real wrong about the rain event.

Hope I am eating crow, we can use the rain!!!!

:)

Yep we'll see. I am wondering if we will see any convective flares ups through the straits and Gulf stream later today....

I'm in North Palm Beach...we are in the middle of a storm cell right now. Heavy rain, lightning etc. Actually tapering off a bit now.
