It does sort of look like that, yes. Perhaps it will start to drift E then a NE track...maybe?
That's a small eddy rotating around the SE side of the center. The small eddy IS moving to the NE now.

Aside from some rough surf I do not expect much of an impact north of about the SC/NC line. A few stray showers may make it inland as far north as VA but thats about it.
