I have a question , do you mean "we" as in th elite group of storm2k supporters , the pro mets , the floridians in general , or what sub group are you including yourself in ? Because if it's simply as a poster on this board I was under the impression that this board is for speculation and discussion on current tropical weather. Your statment sounds as if any thinking outside what the NHC posts is not allowed and I would like to be pointed to where in the code of conduct it states that.

I have a message from a poster on this board for you sir "I'll post a NHC contrary opinion if I so choose" , in english "Go fly a kite".

There were many posts last night that said Alberto was dissipating. It reminds me of last year when people were repeatedly surprised at the storms ability to fight off shear.

Tampa bad shape?

#1205 Postby tampastorm » Mon Jun 12, 2006 6:11 am

Even though Alberto should be well north of the Tampa bay area, could we get the worst of it due to how lobsided it is? I think this is one storm where land fall might not get the worst conditions.

For the people that were angry becuase the NHC upgraded TD 1 to Alberto, now there is no though it's a tropical storm.

Oh gosh no, a 19 ft wave would be like the highest wave height for a TS/Cat-1 Hurricane.

I agree Drezee and stated the same thing yesterday. I've seen some pretty big names on here yesterday just writing this off. Much to my diappointment. I've seen too many storms moving North an East away from the shear that actually strengthen. I've lost power several times now off and on

The center is exposed on the west side. You can see the first hints on visible from NASA GHCC.
