I posted a couple of days ago they always have a surprise for us... Alberto was no different from the others... this has been an ugly storm for the past two days but against all odds is pulling itself together at the last minute... got to respect it for that... NHC still looking good on its forecast projections as to where it was going to go... but they might be off somewhat on intensity a tad.. time will tell...
never say never with a TC in the GOM, regardless of how ugly it is... Alberto is no exception... hopefully it won't be too bad for the areas affected...... I hope this is not a harbinger of things to come this season

The NOGAPS and GFDL aren't that new, but the NAM-WRF shows a landfall around FWB.

I can't remember the many times this has happened (storms returning from the dead or refusing to die) before so I'm not sure
why anyone would be surprised.

alberto is a fighter, 70 MPH, I think he could very well become a category 1, then people will start to panic. geez, how long does he still have over water? he caught up to arlene. I was watching the weather channel tropical update, and I screamed and scared my family half to death. I hope this isnt a sign of things to come.

Well its quite funny how everyobne was writing this storm off yesterday, just shows you you really can't rule out any system. It certainly is a large system though simply as it still isn't amazingly strong, but its getting stronger isn't it!
