I'm just curious of the process (if any) involved behind attaining that rank.

Umm..no disrespect..but..a degree in meteorology? I've never really heard of that. Is there a process involved in gaining this status?

If you are talking about obtaining that distinction on this site, it is the same process. All of the mets on this site that have the pro- met label are at a minimum graduates of an accredited Meteorological program at an accredited university. We don't just hand out the label because we think someone is a good met. We do check the credentials.
