Low looking better in last pic!

#1 Postby The_Cycloman_PR » Mon Jun 09, 2003 8:46 am

The wave/low on mid Atlantic has become better organized this morning and it's low shows a well defined rotation. Although it's moving into an area of shear ahead of it. I don't expect this wave to develop any further because the conditions on the Atlantic are not favorable yet for cyclogenesis and there's still marginal SST'S ahead of it. Yet an interesting system to watch. BUT!! If this system survives the shear and moves into the mid 50's west then it could find warmer waters and perhaps better conditions for development and we could have a strong tropical wave or a strong low pressure systems in the Caribbean later this week. Perhaps maybe later this week this could be an area to watch when it reach (IF) the western Caribbean south of Hispaniola. Watch out Gomers!!!

By the way, this low pressure system was the one the Nogaps and the GFS models were talking about last week and Cycloneye said in his posts!!
The models were right about thisone, let's see if they continue hitting the next systems to come!

Cycloman.

Agree with your take on this wave Cycloman and that is what we have to watch to see if it passes that shear zone in the mid atlantic and if it survives that then after 50w sst's are warmer. This is the best system I had seen in some years so early in that area of the atlantic.

Luis/Cycloman, yes the wave/low in the central Atlantic is looking quiet impressive this morning. Shear ahead of it and the ULL to its NW. Let's see if shear will abate in a couple of days, but there is impressive strong convection in the turing to the north of the axis. Cheers!!
