What is the strangest thing you have ever seen a person do? Live I mean, not on tv. Levitate, etc?

Back in my college days...

I was at a small branch campus of a major university. The campus had a fair and each floor of a dorm was to make an attraction. We couldn't think of anything but one night in a smoke-filled () room, we came up with an idea. One person on the floor suddenly had a large debt somehow ( ), so we decicided to have a fundraiser for him. The basic premise was that we'd make people laugh or they get their money back. We "borrowed" sheets and blankets from our dorm rooms and hung them on ropes between trees to make an enclosure for no cost. We named the attraction "The Twit Tent." One of our crew acted as a barker out front and dared the people to come in and keep a straight face. All the rest of us were inside acting like lunatics which was normal for us when we got together. Most people couldn't keep a straight face. We raised a respectable amount of money for our good cause, and had enough material for story telling and laughs for the rest of the year.

Cover himself in motor oil for several years to keep the aliens away. I had an extremely difficult time giving the man a bed bath.

Beats me but he fought me tooth and nail not to give him a bath. His skin was a dusky greenish brown color.

i asked about this before because i have no idea what it might have meant...

we were down by apalachicola and saw a guy in white linen pants and shirt come down to the water, take a jar of molasses out of his pocket, rub the contents all over his body (with the clothes on), get in the water, wash it off, get out and go back to his vehicle and change right there on the side of the road. i SO wanted to ask him what it was all about, but my husband said he'd leave me there if i did.

Dang... I've seen sooooo many strange things in my life. But the first that comes to my mind was when I was taking a communications class at the university, and after delivering a speech on chiromancy (palm reading) simply as a topic of interest, after the class I boarded the elevator to the ground floor, and this really strange looking guy got on, (he had been in the class and heard my rather unimportant speech), and taken it as an indication that I was REALLY into the bizzare. His first question to me I just shrugged off:

"Have you ever gone into astral projection?"

"Ummm.. no, can't say that I have."

"I have, and you meet some wonderful people there."

"Nice"

"I talked to Julius Caesar once, which was interesting but my best experience was when I got to "rap" with Jesus Christ."

I was VERY glad that the doors opened at that point and quickly made my way to my car.

I remember being in SanFrancisco and seeing two guys on the street both painted up. Their entire skin and clothes were painted gold and silver. Guess they were doing their thing.

Okay... possibly a failure to communicate here... The "Audrey" is in reference to hurricane Audrey, my first experience with a Hurricane... the Katrina is self explanatory...

In the final analysis... I'm definitely not an "Audrey".. name is Don.

No biggie... a LOT of folks have as the connection with hurricane Audrey is rarely made. But I DID post my thanks on the "Father's Day" threads..

Not a big deal, Janice... thoroughly enjoy your off "topics".

Maybe what I need to do is Photoshop a new Avatar SHOWING both storms.. problem is only images of Audrey are old black and white radar images... and they're not very good.

Thanks Don. I basically ask so many questions so people have more to answer. I know they like to get their count up and maybe some of the questions are for people who want to vent. I have been around long enough to know it gets kind of boring when there are not many new questions posted.

I recall during my early childhood years in Ohio when my folks and I went to a drug store soda fountain and a mail deliverer on his break stopped to get an ice cream cone while we were there...we noticed this man putting a bit of table salt on his ice cream!
