Nail Hardner

#1 Postby Janice » Wed Jun 21, 2006 4:28 pm

Does anyone know a brand of fingernail hardner that really works. I have bought some at the stores, and they never seemed to work.

My nails tend to break off before getting long.

I have used Sally Hansen and it worked pretty good. I use the clear so that my nails don't turn ugly colors. Also if you take Vitamen E it will help strengthen your nails and your hair! and ps.......keep the skeeters and "no see ums" away.

There's a Sally Hansen Instant Strength that's a light purple (it goes on clear). I used to bite my nails halfway down the nailbed. Decided one day to let them grow and i used to get silkwraps on the stubs. After my nails got long enough i used the sally hansen. My nails are so strong now and i don't have to use it anymore. I work with my hands and my nails rarely break.

Check out their website for their nail strengthening products

ROTFLMAO here!!!!! I swear I thought this was a thread about a person named....Neil Hardner! Since you capitalized the last word......my eyes, my eyes - they are not reliable anymore!!!!

I kept seeing it and thinking, I don't know who this person is....LOL

Okay, sobering up now......I'm a nail biter and have brittle nails anyway. I know, I know, terrible habit. They're not stubby short, just to the edge. I could grow them out but they split anyway. I have used Sally Hanson products for this problem. They're cheap too. You apply several good coats. I have strenthened my nails when needed to (my wedding, other memorable times I grew out my nails!).

Try Sally Hanson. A real person's products - still laughing at my silly assumption what this topic was all about!

The Sally Hansen "Miracle" nail hardener is the best.

stay away from Chlorine! (working as a swim lesson instructor would be the reasoning behind that statement) My nails have been extremely weak; even with strengthener products.

Nail Envy by Opi is the best I've ever used.
