You're probably right, but the damage may be just as bad. :(

guys unfortunately i think we are on the eve of some of the worst flooding in recent memory ( for such populated metropolitan areas)

also if the low (tropical or not , closed or not) get back over water west or east of delmarva penisula could it's strength be enhanced, turn on cnn, or your local news channel this flooding could be once in a lifetime. to everyone in the effected areas please heed the evacuation order, things could be alot worse than imagined.

This will be worse then Ivan here and I certainly hope it doesn't get to the level of Agnes, which I hear flooded the entire city of Harrisburg. The governor at the time had to be rescued by boat. (I wasn't alive, but Agnes is still talked about to this day.)

you don't see a 40kts invest very often! lol

Surface pressures on the coast beneath the mid-level circulation are 1014-1017mb, not 1011 mb, though.

Chesapeake (KCPK) is reporting 1012mb, and Norfolk (KORF) is reporting 1013, both a little ways from the center, so the 1011mb estimate is currently a little low, but may have been accurate when the NRL made it.

Yes, the east coast doesn't need rain from anything. I just hope this isn't setting the pattern for the rest of the season. A trof just inland would not be a good thing as far as tropical systems in August/September.

oh snap..you know I was just thinking this earlier today going "I'm glad it's not September."

there was that southeasterly flow ahead of Isabel as I recall. Southeast winds and rain for days (and I think a weak TS preceeded her as well).

Hopefully everyone in the Northeast can catch a break soon. I know you definately do not need the rain.

It looks like it's becoming absorbed into the front now. It's looking very elongated.

This has got to be the most damaging Invest ever identified that never became a closed circulation...it seems to be in retirement territory...

Yes the tropical low with gale force winds that was not named Beryl has killed about ten people. Two truckers were sucked into a giant sinkhole where they died.

Three people died in flood-related car accidents in central New York, said State Police Lt. Robert Galletto said. Two truckers were killed on Interstate 99 in Sidney, New York, early in the morning when their rigs fell into an enormous sinkhole, he said
