Yeah, sometimes I'll think that it's real right after I wake up. It's really word; sometimes I've confused my mom once she wakes me up and I mention something that was in the dream I had just had, still thinking I was in it...it's weird.

When I was a kid I would remember a lot of dreams. However, I only remember, at most, a few seconds of my dreams (and a lot of the time now I forget them not long after). The reason I forget so many of my dreams though is because I don't think about the dream I just had right when I wake up. Then a few minutes after I wake up, I remember that I had a dream and that because I didn't think about it before I forgot a lot about it. Even in those cases I'll probably soon forget any vestiges of the dream I had. Only occassionaly will this a dream stick with me. Almost all of them I remember were from when I was between about 7 and 14 years old (I'm 16 now).

There was this really weird period (a few weeks) where I would remember my dreams very well, and I would actually be aware that I was dreaming and able to wake myself up if I didn't like where the dream was going...weird. How can this be explained?
