Hey there Karan, just look WAY out west and you'll see two things in the sky. First, a lot of smoke from new fires north and northwest of Phoenix (I can see the smoke from my office) and second a silent and friendly dove in flight headed your way in the form of a prayer from this keyboard.

It's tough for mom, and I'm sure it's tough for you to see...but her faith and the support you and the family have to offer will surely give her comfort even in the angriest of times when frustration is at its highest.

Be still and know that others are hoping for good things and comfort too.

Thank you all so very much. The prayers are definitely helping. I spent the day at the hospital yesterday. I took her into a huge shower and bath room and washed her hair, trimmed it, and styled it. They had a really massive show chair on wheel that was terrific for moving her around the shower. She had a wonderful bath and felt so good. We walked down the hall several times. She can now use a walker with wheels on it. Her left hand is really improving. Her spirits are so much better than they had been and she is working very, very hard at therapy.
((HUGS)) to all of you.

I went to the hospital yesterday. I did tell her that she has the most lovely people praying for her and wishing her well. You won't believe what she did. Talk about Independence Day!!!!! When I went into the room her tray looked like a desk. She was paying her bills. She asked me to go over to her home and get a calculator!!! She wouldn't possibly mess up her checking account!!! Then she was sitting in a chair talking to me and she just, you won't believe this, she crossed her left leg. She just picked it up and crossed it over her right leg. I almost fell thru the floor!!!! We went for a long walk around the hall so that she could say hello and happy holiday to all her new friends.

Thank you so very much for all your wonderful thoughts and prayers.

Oh Karan - I'm so happy for your mom and you as well, that she is recovering so well and quickly I might add. A long walk down the hall? She is going to regain as much as her independency back, mark my words!

That is the best news I've heard in a long time. Prayers do work!

Thanks for the update....
Mary
