Well, here in Maricopa County we are due for a stronger monsoon year. Last year was sporadic, and it brought a lot more "huff and puff" than it did anything else. Steve down in Sierra Vista will probably post his outlook on his website, and I've come to trust his mid-range predictions a lot.

I suspect we'll see some activity begin to pop up in June down in his area of the state. Not sure what will happen out your way or here in Maricopa County.

I am working on my monsoon outlook as we speak. One factor that needs to be considered is the effect of the Drought conditions (now at Exceptional down here) and how much they will dry out the monsoon flow.

last year 2005 wasn't too bad here in Lake Havasu City, AZ we had quite a few good strong thunderstorms. Looking forward to it this year.

Does your monsoon report cover areas farther north? I'm interested to know how much it will affect where I live (Salt Lake City). I'm sick of dry summers. :grr:
