WHATS WRONG WITH ENVIRONMENT CANADA?!
A tornado warning is in effect for Maine, the tornado warning box on the radar goes atleast 30 kms into western New Brunswick, and a severe thunderstorm warning goes even further than that, but Environment Canada Halifax hasn't issued anything but a severe thunderstorm watch. The storm is almost entirely in New Brunswick right now, and nothing is to be found at all.
Environment Canada cannot be trusted entirely with issuing warnings, they never look past their radar which detects rain drops. This is just really pissing me off.
The Weather Network hasn't even mentioned the watch yet, nor have they looked at the radars there. Usually they keep current with USA warnings and advise Canadians to get to shelter when Environment Canada doesn't pay attention to the situation.

OH MY GOD.
Grand Falls and Victoria County
6:51 PM ADT Sunday 2 July 2006
Severe thunderstorm warning for
Grand Falls and Victoria County issued
Doppler radar signatures are indicating that hail in the order of 2 to 3 centimetres and a possible weak tornado is currently in the kilburn area which is 10 kilometres south of Perth-Andover. These cells are moving toward the east-southeast at about 50 km/h. Additionally within these areas localized downpours and gusty winds to 90 km/h are possible.
WHY HAVEN'T THEY ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING?! FIRST THEY ARE ALMOST 30 MINUTES LATE WITH THE WARNING, THEY KNOW THERE IS A TORNADO, YET THEY DON'T CARE.

The Halifax office is out to lunch!!! They need to be replaced!!! Whoever is calling the shots obviously does not know New Brunswick - the weather patterns are so different there! (It has a lot more in common with inland Maine than coastal areas)
(BTW, since it is no longer in the US at all, it should be moved to Global Weather)

Not sure - it isn't very heavily populated so it might have been only on radar...

I know its not very heavily populated in this part of Maine. Heck, most of Maine isnt very populated except the bigger cities and along the coast line. When I lived in Connecticut, I worked for a private high school that had a second campus in Maine. I spent my days and weeks up in Maine for the school. I would also go on vacation quite often up to Maine to get away from it all. It is by far one of the most beautiful places I've been to. I hope to get back there again, one day when I'm up in Connecticut.

Ouch, that is really awful that EC would do that. They do miss stuff. I dislike it when they do that a lot. People have to judge for themselves if there is a tornado coming
