This area near the Bahamas is impressive

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Geez...that's NUTS! What's wrong with the media??? The NHC never said a TS could form. They said conditions may improve a bit in the next few days.

Its an ULL thats it.Gotta love the media. I don't see this ULL moving westward its just sitting and spinning. The trough moving into the SE US will probably pick this system and move it northward.

Just think if they(NHC) would put up and Invest for this area, I guess they (media) would be calling for evacations.

Looks like deeper convection is forming with this system. If this ULL could get into the lower levels it could develop, I'm not saying it will but if it can get into the lower levels of the atmosphere then development is possible.

John Hope use to say these things can spin and spin with no develpment. What interests me is AJs swirl near Bartow. If that moves over water who knows.

we see this every season too, he was absolutely correct. I dont see this developing because it doesnt have alot of room to work with if it moves around. and if it does develop I dont see it becoming strong for the same reason.

However if anything happens I think it's still a few days off.

Our key oil and gas resources at risk!

Over the next couple of days, the system could drift slowly westward over the Florida Peninsula and into the Gulf of Mexico where several of the key U.S. oil and natural gas fields and refineries are located.

LOL. It does sound alarmist the way they wrote it. On the other hand it did happen a couple times last year.

There is about a 1% chance of this thing developing in my opinion - I can't believe media sensationalism. Why even mention the oil rigs? Even a TS won't bother them!!! I can see if we were talking about a major hurricane but not a stupid UL or even a TS

I believe that Fox gets their weather from Accuweather.
I have seen JB on there during Hurricane crisis'

This is not any kind of attempt to trash Accuweather or JB and if I am incorrect in my presumption that Fox gets their weather from them, feel free to correct me!
