Central Pacific tropical cyclone summary - fixes NWS Central Pacific Hurricane Center Honolulu HI 0640 UTC Tue Jul 04 2006.

Tropical disturbance located at 12.1°N 141.7°W at 04/0000 UTC based on goes-11 1 km vis imagery and animation. Position accurate within 30 nm. Estimated maximum 1 minute mean wind speed 20 kt. Movement estimated towards 270 degrees at 20 kt over the past 6 hours.

T1.0/1.0/S0.0/24 hours

Remarks: FT = 1.0 based on shear pattern.

NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
1000 PM HST MON JUL 3 2006

FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180

A small area of low pressure located about 1020 miles southeast of the Hawaiian islands has minimal shower and thunderstorm activity. Environmental conditions are expected to gradually become unfavorable as the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph. Tropical cyclone development is not anticipated.

No tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday evening.

TROPICAL DISTURBANCE LOCATED AT 10.9N 151.0W AT 05/1730 UTC BASED ON
GOES-11 1 KM VIS AND 4 KM IR IMAGERY AND ANIMATION. POSITION
ACCURATE WITHIN 10 NM. ESTIMATED MAXIMUM 1 MINUTE MEAN WIND SPEED 25
KT. MOVEMENT ESTIMATED TOWARDS 260 DEGREES AT 20 KT OVER THE PAST
SEVEN HOURS.

REMARKS...PULSING DEEP CONVECTION HAS DECREASED SUBSTANTIALLY IN THE
PAST SEVERAL HOURS. EXPOSED LLCC CLEARLY SEEN ON VIS THIS MORNING
WITH ISOLATED CB OVER TWO DEGREES TO THE EAST. DT...MET...AND PAT
ALL AGREE ON 1.0. KEPT CI AT 1.5 DUE TO CONSTRAINTS.
