Rare Tornado may have hit Village 40 km to my North

#1 Postby Hybridstorm_November2001 » Mon Jul 03, 2006 3:16 pm

Here in New Brunswick we do not have tornadoes very often. Last night one may have occurred 25 miles to my North. Also we had a wicked thunderstorm in my our area too, one of the worse in a decade. See my blog for further details:

I updated the Blog with a News Paper article from my local, and a pic I took Sunday as the cell passed by to the North. Enjoy!

Look like another tornado may have hit my region. I have heard of one tornado outbreak in rare years, but never two:

I heard about this on the weather network. Yeah, it's not often you hear about a tornado in New Brunswick. I see no one is replying to your topic, that's odd.

Indeed. It is very strange to have this much severe weather in New Brunswick, being so close to the North Atlantic and all. The thunder storm that occurred in my own local, the night of the more Northern tornadic storm, was one of the most intense I've seen in the last ten years at least. Lots of frequent cloud to ground lightning, and torrential rain, that lasted roughly 50 minutes.
