Im going to New Orleans and Im going to fly out there to help with the clean up efferts and im might get some pictures from New Orleans!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I just think it's cool to meet fellow S2K'ers. We had an awesome time at our last 2 NGCC gatherings. When people come to New Orleans, if I have the chance to put a face with the name, I like to try to take advantage of it.

i'm leaving my church at 4:30 am and catch my flight by 6:30 in the am!!!!!!!!!!! So i might be in New Orleans around 6:30 i think!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

Good luck and I'm sure they really appriciate your help. Make sure you get lot's of pictures and load up on the stories for when you get back.

It is really great that many groups like yours are coming to help. The part of the Orleans population, in the greatest need, is the elderly and poor. You'll find most to be very appreciative and I am sure you will enjoy the time you invested to do such a good thing.

Not meaning to get off subject but I agree the 9th ward is a mess. I was watching a special on Nick with my oldest daughter where they interview kids in the ninth ward. These kids (remarkable in my words) showed where they used to live. It would bring tears to your eyes to see what happen. And these were the same kids that they showed helping make a difference in their communities~they were cleaning up the pieces and trying to make life better. I was really impressed by these children and how they handle the tradegy they have been through. They are remarkable!
