Evening everyone!

WHEW! Whatta Monday, geeesh......I wonder if there is anyway to cancel Mondays and skip right to Weds? Yup....it's that time of year, like that old sayin' "Make hay while the sunshines!" Steve, I remember a post of yours, I can't find it, you made a comment about how I'm always sayin' we're super busy, so on and so forth and how......OH WAIT, I know were it's at, it's in my 1000 post thread! ANYWAYS......yes, we ARE that busy HOWEVER, most of my posts are at 0445-0500 in the morning and we take certain days to go fishin', golfin' etc, etc.......that's ONE great thing about owning your own business, you can take off when ever you want PROVIDED that you get the job done FIRST!!!!!

Anywho.......well the fire........NOT GOOD, it's at 1971 acres as of 1900 hrs and stands at 5% containment and the winds tomorrow are suppose to be near advisory levels, say a little prayer for those poor folks in Alpine would ya, they really need it!

All for me, it's bed time, see y'all tomorrow!

Evening everyone. I am up late on the front porch this evening because I can't seem to sleep. Oh well... I can boost my posting totals here if I don't sleep.

16 hrs. in the car? I would have been nuts. Road construction is always a double-edged sword. A lot of roads need fixed, but it comes at the price of slowing us down.

Everyone have a good night.

from Huntington Beach to Tucson by car? You must have some good ECM on board to keep from getting tickets that's for sure since you would have to be doing well over 100 on the open road.

Good Afternoon!

Sorry for the doom and gloom post this a.m., MAN I was mad, like I can do anything about it, right? LOL! ANYWAYS, the damage wasn't TOO awful bad, yes, it did nip and kill quite a few things BUT....like I posted in the USA weather forum, I had the foresight to leave the *Walls O' Water* on SOME of the 'mater and peppers, the rest *sigh* burnt to a crisp. Raine.......ya know, your right, He WILL provide another crop of sumpthin' only ONE little problem, this time of the year, most nurserys are out of mater plants etc, I'd have to start them from seed and it's WAY too late for that, our first frost of the fall is usually 10 Sept, MY GOD......that's coming QUICK isn't it, I mean SHOOT.......where's the late spring, summer going to??????

ANYWAYS.......I'm off to the driving range for another bucket of balls, Steve and Steve, I don't want to hear a WORD from you two "LOL!" JUST KIDDING, I know.........I swore UP AND DOWN that I'd NEVER be like those old toots out playin' golf, WELL.......I play the part rather well thank you! LOL!

Morning everyone.

Jeremy...when you get famous remember the little people at Storm2K.

Lots of lightning, thunder, and heavy rain here since yesterday evening. Yeesh! We have picked up just under 2"... right about 1.9" or so and rain is in the forecast every day through next Monday. :o Our total rain so far this month is 3.1" while the normal is 2.5" so we are starting to run a surplus.

Dennis, good to hear that it is warming up a little. Hope everything survived.

Good morning. 66 degrees in my back yard this morning. Temps in the 60's, even in the morning, will be rare from now through mid October. Felt good, though, to go out and pick up the morning paper and breathe in the air.

Have a breakfast meeting this morning with the VP of Operations out of our Delaware office. He's my boss these days. Let's see, if he orders breakfast for me, that will prep me for conversations to follow! Actually, should be a spirited conversation.

Thanks again for the birthday greetings.

My father sent me the actual flag that was flown over our home during the year I was in Vietnam. He included a note that said, "I remember raising this for the first time. I looked up and couldn't see the colors very well for the tears in my eyes." That was a very meaningful gift. I also have the actual Illinois flag that was presented to me by Congressman John B. Anderson and hung in my "hooch" at Camp McDermott in Nha Trang.

Seems we've had a few of our Storm2k folks on TV lately. Congrats.
