Good point Hurricane Floyd. The season is only beginning and right now it is time to relax, enjoy, and have fun before the season really gets going.

People also need to remember, before 2005, when was the last time we had 5 named storms in july, or a cat 5 or 2 cat 4s in July? NEVER!

I'd like to officially vote to cancel the rest of the season. One named storm is plenty for me. Let's move on to 2007 and forget 2006, it's over. ;-)

wxman57, I concur. I just spent $300 on some more hurricane stuff, and it should only go to waste.

One thing to note. It only takes one storm to make a bad season for somebody somewhere.

If Katrina was the only named storm last year, it would still be one of the worst seasons ever.

While I'm a supporter of the "Season Cancel" Movement (we need a break  ), I thought I'd post this link to one of my posts in the Tropical Analysis forum...
