Is this correct?

#1 Postby beachbum_al » Mon Jul 10, 2006 7:16 pm

I found this on a news site and click it. Is that the correct path of Katrina? I thought Katrina made its first landfall in LA and then in MS. This path is showing different.

Only a reference and not a good indicator of the tracks. Almost every one for Texas is off.

That path would have put New Orleans straight in the eye of the storm...and changed the water flow. The death trap would be water coming from the southeast in the Gulf, not Lake Pontchartrain.

Well, it also says that Camille hit in 1989. If so, no one sent me the memo.

What about Hurricane Babe in 1997?

Upon a web search, it said it struck Louisiana in 1977.

Therefore the Energizer site is incorrect.

See, I answered my own question.

I think we must send them a memo. I didn't catch that until you guys pointed it out. I don't even want to think of a Katrina hitting in 2006.
