Maybe it's just "me", but I always identified that area as a "primary target"...

Streetsoldier... I was in PB meeting a friend I graduated with a few years ago. He called and said he would be passing through on his way to Hannibal to see some family!

It was a great sunny day to travel.

Well everyone - we got rained on BIG TIME today! :o I counted 3.2" in my gauge since last night! :o There has been all sorts of havoc from this rain, such as mudslides, rockslides, roof leaks, roof collapses, flooding, accidents, winds - you name it, we've had it today!

Hope all have a great Thursday. I have school in the morning so that is why I am checking in now. See you all tomorrow. Joshua

Damn Josh thats a torrent for Cali...even in the wet season. Its funny, you guys are lacking rain and drought and then BAM! you get pounded so fast it just runs off...doesnt soak in! I tried to tell you guys that you'd get slammed with alot of rain, since you all wished for it so much! Just that when a drought is broken, or gets close to something worth mentioning....its usually heavy. Be careful what you wish for out there...another round will swamp ya again!

I've been up since 5am as usual and floating the boards. My weather data recorded a windchill spike of -47!! Winds tore up things north of me yesterday, but just drifted more snow in low places and now we got some 3-6 foot drifts in our yard. The roads had to be replowed as well....some places were drifted shut. Our lake looked like a blizzard....nothing but white sheets in the sun.

Well...time for some hot hot tea and hang around here awhile. Nowhere to go, nothing to do until they call me on this job. Maybe in a week or so. Hope its after my birthday! Take care folks, and try to breathe behind that plastinc ok?! lmao Cmon people...LIVE IT UP!! Remember the old adage: Live each day as if it were your last. I am!

Morning everyone. Josh...WOW! That is a lot of rain. I noticed our NWS is now calling for 2.5-4" of rain here possibly in isolated locations. Yeesh!

Hope everyone is doing well and have a great day.

Yes it is a lot of rain. I have recorded another 0.6" since last night. And it is STILL raining. :o I have school to leave for in about an hour, so that is why I am here now.

Hope that Dennis is getting his snow (and his foot rested), that streetsoldier will have a great day, that Amanzi will get her immigration situation settled, that breeze is doing fine, and that everyone else whose names I did not mention has a great day as well! That includes pojo, Rob-TheStormChaser, Chadtmk80, and everyone else! Joshua

Just got home from an unexpected run out to meet my girlfriend at the bus stop from her house. Apparently she wanted to come see me so I met up with her in Scranton (halfway) and we went shopping @ JCPenney....and had to get the proverbial Valentines Day substitues for candy and a card....lol I wound up spending over $200 total on her and got her some jeans, sneakers and a few shirts. Sheesh the things us men have to do to impress the needs of a lady! I'll be hanging here awhile and got the fire stoked. The temp hasnt gone past 9 degrees all day with high winds again, drifting snow and brilliant sunshine.

But the ladies are worth it, especially when they're beautiful. ;) (Of course you all will say "Of course he/she is beautiful/handsome!")

Anyway, today started off wet, then cleared up around lunchtime. I have a feeling that at least one more shower might be on the way for my area. We have picked up 0.8" so far since last night. That brings our grand total to 4.4".

I will not be in from 9 PM tomorrow night until sometiome Saturday afternoon. This is due to a community service event that I am doing Saturday morning, which requires me to rise early. So don't worry if you don't see me tomorrow night or Saturday until late in the day.

That is all from here for now, so c y'all l8r! Joshua

Good evening, all! Late evening at work, but, I finally made it home - just chompin' at the bit cuz tomorrow is Friday, and, I don't have to work anywhere, this weekend! :12:

Josh, I've been thinking about you, getting all of that rain! I remember being in Southern Cal and everyone telling me how rare the rain was,
and, I just couldn't fathom living where it rarely rained...lol! We'll see ya late in the day on Saturday, then.

I, too, am hoping that Dennis has gotten some rain relief, and, hope that he is feeling better, as well. :)

Rob - $200?? LoL - do you have a single brother??? :bgbounce: Heh-heeh! That's really cool...knowing ya didn't have to do that! :D

I'm throwing another log on the stove...there's boiling water for tea, and, I made some Rice Krispie Treats. Help yourselves! I'm gonna grab granny's afghan and curl up on the sofa and read the paper.

lol breeze.....yes I DO have a single bro...he lives in Myrtle Beach, SC. He works at some catering joint as a co-owner. He'll be 45 in August! Anyhow, sitting here and trying to flick on my garage lights...they're flourescent but when it gets to be so cold as it is now.....fugheddaboudit! Temps are hovering around 2 degrees and we're diving lower with radiational cooling and snowpack from more snow and drifting. All is calm! I gotta go in my garage for more wood....bbiab!

LoL, Rob!

2 degrees? Yikes - we are actually around 40F! That rain system in Texas
is coming our way, and, even though I am off the weekend, it looks like a rain event for - well, all weekend! This is an excuse to stay inside and...clean house...!

That was how my local radar looked as of 20 or so minutes ago. So I might have at least one more round of rain to move through my area. I live where the round circle is at.

Breeze...that Rice Krispie treat was wonderful...thanks! ;)

Rain is falling here too and it has since about 4:00 or so. We have about .35" and it looks as if the heaviest rain will fall SE of me with this system.

Everyone have a good night and a pleasant Friday.
