Could we get one of the Mods to rename this Blob something else. I like Southeastern Gulf Blob or Mess near Key West.

Nope does not look dead to me either and I agree it looks like some rotation there but I am not sure at what level.

I think it is but I believe one of the ProMets would be better qualified to answer that.

Shear looks to have relaxed over the area and you can still discern some slight rotation.

According to local mets here in Mobile it will bring rain and a few thunderstorm to the Gulf Coast as the Wave moves but nothing to worry about.

http://wkrg.com/ Click link on the right upper hand side is weather video. Click that link~View our local forecast under the radar.

Channel 15~NBC basically said the same thing. Watch but don't get over concern because it is a wave.

Since some of you say there is a slight rotation I hope we are not caught off guard but I am going to have to go with the local mets here and on the board too.

Not to go too far off the target, but one of the most memmorable things from Mobile TV was during Hurricane Andrew.
Every 30 minutes, they would do an update and the lead in was so cool....
Deep Voice...

"Hurricane Andrew......IN THE GULF...This is a Action News 10 Special Report". I used to walk around saying the "IN TH GULF part all day...Ok back on topic

There does seem to be a small rotation just SE of Key West. This radar shows it fairly well.
