There seems to be good outflow all the way around this blob.

This little area is now getting into an area of 5 - 10kts of shear and the gulf is still improving. I wonder if there's really a chance?

The weather channel tropical outlook is saying otherwise. They mainly just focus on the Pacific and then say all in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico is quiet. They don't seem to think anything will form anytime soon.

Question for the pro-mets..... If the wave keeps an appropriate distance from the ULL to it's west, shouldn't shear remain low?

Please consider the source (TWC) before you put to much weight on what they say.

TWC doesn't even seem to be giving Bud and Carlotta much attention this morning. The tropical updates are way too short.

The vis continues to look impressive regarding a general broad circulation developing in the S/SE/E/NE quadrants slight hints of banding. Does anyone have a link to the Bouys in that area?

I do agree that the weather channel's tropical update is way too short. You blink and you miss it. And then there is all the countless reruns of storm stories that you got to stay up really late sometimes to even catch the tropical update. If I lived somewhere in the Pacific, then I would be interested. But, I am only interested in what could possibly affect the United States especially the Gulf Coast.

It's probably a good thing this area doesn't have a concentrated area of low pressure, because it would likely deepen quickly in these conditions. IMHO.

IF** the ULL stays to the SW of the system it will help ventilate the system in the upper levels. So, YES this WILL help the system grow.
