Realizing this particular thread is a joke, it's interesting to look back at last year's threads of a similar nature. Here's one I posted in mid-August 0f '05. My-oh-my, how things changed!! And I'm sure there are several others like it.

Thanks! However, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I didn't actually go through Andrew, it's just my given name and the year it hit. It was the storm that fueled my interest in hurricanes, however (probably because it had my name AND was so destructive).

Ixolib, I recall this thread last year....looking back now....Who would have thunk it.... I guess that old saying, Careful what you wish for holds true!! Mother Nature sure slapped us all with a good one.

Although one year ago today we were looking at a category 5 Hurricane Emily, if you want to see that constantly, tape TWC storm coverage. Because that was insanity, this is normal.

All I will say is get sleep while you can. whether we will get above-average, average, or below average activity this year, there will be the storms that keep us up all night.
