Girl talk

#1 Postby sunny » Sun Jul 16, 2006 10:22 am

Figured that should keep the guys out of here!!!

I caught this infomercial at 3 this morning. I've never taken dancing, but Miss Mary's daughter has and she said she was toned!

Opinions?

Girl talk.....I love it!!! Let's keep this topic bumped up.......

I thought Fluidity looked like it would work but I immediately thought of less expensive ways to do these exercises at home (ie, carpenter installing a small ballet bar on your wall, buying straps elsewhere, perhaps at a pharmacy, you can google elastic exercise strap, etc.).

Maybe they would lower the price. When I watched a 30 min. infomercial on Winsor Pilates, the price started at about $50, plus shipping and was down to $9.99 plus shipping by the end of the segment!

Not gonna get that - they want to hit you up for $40 just for shipping!!

On another note----Has anyone tried the TIGI Bedhead spray on wax? I really like it - it holds my hair without being sticky :D

I got it at the shop where my girl cuts my hair. But I've seen the TIGI alot - it's pretty popular. The spray wax is called - lol - "headbanger"!

I used to use it, and love it! Actually need to get some more; I love all of the TIGI products that I have tried.

It's made by TIGI Linda. You don't need to use much AT ALL :D

Kim, this is the first time I have tried it - been using it about a month now. It's the only product by TIGI that I have tried!

Does it smell?????????????????? I have to buy unscented things because the smell gives me an awful sinus allergy reaction. I can't even walk in a Bath and Bodyworks when I'm in a mall with one I immediately know it when I am on the same "block" of stores so I have to go to the other side and hold my nose and breath when I pass it.........geeze it kills me!

It doesn't have a scent, Mary. But it you try it, just be careful not to use TOO much of it! I did that the first time I used it - lol. My hair didn't look tacky, but it sure as heck FELT tacky!

I remember the old days when a small section in the grocery store or corner drugstore was reserved for hairsprays, shampoos, and conditioners. Now, they have an entire aisle set aside just for all those gels, mousses, waxes, spritzes, creams, gunks, goops, and hair hardeners. And some of them cost almost $20 a bottle! What happened to the old days when the expensive stuff was in a salon, but the stuff in the store was less than $3? I remember when the Aussie products were the high-priced ones -- around $4 a bottle.

Those Bedhead products look weird. I'm not sure I'd want to spend that much on something when I don't know what it does. Besides, my hair won't curl for any amount of heat or gel in the world. Just straight and long always, so I'll stick to my favorite shampoos and conditioner alone. It may cost a little more...but I'm worth it.

Duckie, I wouldn't have bought it except that Tuey used it on me in the salon, so I got to see that it worked first. My hair is fine, and product makes a big difference in how my hair looks. I use a flat iron on it everyday because my hair doesn't want to curl, but it doesn't want to be straight either. So I straighten it and however it comes out is how it comes out! I call it "surprise hair"!!

Hey Ed! Have some beauty secrets to share with us
