Yeah it appears as if it's spinning down. Although it's not dispating as fast as the last wave...

Hopefully it'll pick back up.

don't hold your breath...dry air is trying to penetrate it from the north...SAL air....unfortunately.. :cry:

Yes I agree, right now there is moist air and the dry air out ahead of it doesn't look that bad - so this wave has the best chance of any wave this year so far...

Ya, except two problems...wind shear and cooler SST's...I dont expect much out of this the next few days, but I do believe theres potential down the road...I wouldnt be suprised to see it develop, but it doesnt look likely at this time

Based on what? Do you have any weather readings from the African coast that indicates this one is surface and last week's wasn't? They look pretty dang similar on satellite.

The surface system that was attached to the system last weak was over 500 miles away from the mid level center. It is now in the lesser antilles. The surface reflection of this wave has not peeled off like last week.

I believe the entire SSD is having problems, as none of their pages seem to be accessible . . . keep getting "Bad response from server" for the past hour or so . . .
