There is a way to make these IR images without deleting the low clouds. I'm not sure how we do it, but I can ask the programmer tomorrow if I get a chance. Also, a lat/lon grid would be nice.
Take a look a this shot. No low clouds were removed. We automatically have it switch from IR to VIS depending upon the time of day. Want me to ask how we're doing it?
