How long until Chris?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

How long until Chris?

#1 Postby CrazyC83 » Fri Jul 21, 2006 11:52 am

How long do you all think it will be until Tropical Storm (or Hurricane) Chris? Where will it be?

I think - July 28 - Bay of Campeche. Closely followed by Debby, the first Cape Verde storm, first hurricane and first major hurricane (a fish-spinner).

I think July 27 2006 at 11:00 pm EDT when the first discussion comes out. The place will be right near Florida on the west side and will track onto land as a near hurricane strength storm.

I doubt there will be many fish storms this year due to the Mid Atlantic ridge unless they recurve between bermuda and the US.

I'll be in Florida on the 11th through the 14th to visit WPB. Since you're there on the east coast too, what do you wanna bet there will be a cane on the way in?

In response to the initial question, I'm going to go with 1-3 days based upon what I'm seeing...a little bit of a gamble and it might

I sure hope your wrong because I will be on vacation on the southwest coast of FL in Sanibel on that date. I say we won't have Chris till the 2nd week in August. :D
