An EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING is in effect for most of Oklahoma, Missourt, the extreme eastern part of Kansas, Western Illinois, extreme northwestern Arkansas and the residents along the Northside of the Red River. It's not in effect for the North Texas area yet, but overnight, all can change.

Though that´s not the global forum, i may announce, even germany cracks temperature-records. 102 F was the record for July, 19th.

It's very hot and muggy in the OV, as reported. This is the time of year I have been known to announce - it had better snow this winter. But I fear it will be a mild one.......quite honestly I'd rather be shoveling snow right now!

Yesterday i went into river Elbe. Almost 500 m wide. It´s warm like in a bath tub.

It's now 94*F outside (heat index 98*F).

The swimming pools here also felt like hot tubs as well. Matter in fact, who needs a jacuzzi?

At least most of the kids got their summer camping done and over with, although we could really use some of that heat to solar-reheat my rolled tacos.

And i'm complaining about 92°? I don't envy those with 100°+ temps at all.

Well, as long as I'm inside, I'm okay. I don't like 100-degree heat...but it's not 100 degrees inside my house now is it? And besides, in Louisiana, it would be much worse, since it's a humid heat there. We never get humid heat here.

And our 100-degree temperature streak ended yesterday at 5 days. It's supposed to get back above 100 degrees again, though.

Wow...look at this forecast...and this comes after 5 straight days of 100 degrees already. We've already had 8 days in a row of 95+ degrees, and if all 7 of these days reach at least 95 degrees, which is forecast, that would be 15 days in a row, and the record is 20...

It cooled off here for a few days, down to the upper 70's, now it's BACK up to the low 90's BUT......the dewpoints, for all intents and purposes have dropped like a rock along with the RH% and it's once again a DRY heat

This may be the last day for triple-digit heat in North Texas. Today's high is expected to reach 104*F, or as high as 105 set back in 1939.

It's been unusually warm here too. Mid to upper 90's (as high as 97). Usually here when it is in the mid to upper 90's, it cools to the 30's or 40's at night. Yesterday's low was 58, extremely unusual, and tying the all time warmest night for July 20.
