And guess what, I live in Seminole County and I was suprised that I had to go to school so early that when I went school supplies shopping with my dad, everything was almost gone. On the bright side, I finish school earlier than you.

Looks like they are again starting to begin school earlier and earlier. Maybe a year or two from now it will start at the end of July.

Big ole 9/11. Must have been sad that the WTC was attacked on your birthday. :(

Last year it ended on May 24. This year we will probably end around May 10 - 20.

Summers are getting shorter and shorter for you guys. All year round school. It's hard to imagine not having those 3 months off.

American schools let kids have 3 months off? Canadian schools only let kids off for about 2.3 months.

I wouldn't say all of the U.S. schools get 3 months off and I know nothing about the schools in South America. :D I think mostly all the public schools in florida get around the same as you do in Canada.

I'm going for August 15th still myself, but of course if August 15th comes around and we still have nothing yet, might have to push back to September 1st. I know I may be looking at the glass half full here, but this STILL has a chance of being a short but intense season. I guess it all comes down to whether or not anything will develop between now and August 15th. If nothing develops, then it will more than likely be a short season. What a blessing that would be!
