I'm not surprised. This Gov't is inept. For the life of me, I don't understand why they can't bring in Licensed workers from other states to help. :x

Are you talking about government buildings? If not, what does the government have to do with the private sector bringing in workers?

I'm no expert, but I believe in Florida, a contractor has to be registered in the state to work. And, there aren't enough contractors to meet the demands of their work.

Of course it is...we still have to wait two-three more days to watch and see that it will not fizzle out.

This looks like a pretty good wave. There appears to be an elongated low or mid-level circulation associated with it. It should be mentioned in the next TWO.

I would agree, the person in charge, "contractor" must be licesened, b ut I don't think that his employees, individual roofers, have the same level of requirements. I suppose this is probably the wrong forum for this.

Very nice looking tropical wave with a possible low pressure center at about 8N 29W. THe visible loops of the system are quite impressive.

Tropical Weather Outlook

Statement as of 5:30 PM EDT on July 27, 2006

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
A vigorous tropical wave is producing a large area of showers and
thunderstorms over the southeastern Bahamas...Turks and Caicos
Islands...Hispaniola...Puerto Rico...and adjacent waters of the
Atlantic and Caribbean Sea. Although upper-level winds are
unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation...locally heavy rainfall
and strong gusty winds will be possible in brief squalls as the
system moves west-northwestward at 20 to 25 mph.
A westward-moving tropical wave...accompanied by a surface low
pressure system...is showing signs of organization about 550 miles
southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. However...any further
development is expected to be slow due to only marginally favorable
upper-level winds.
Elsewhere...tropical storm formation is not expected through Friday.

wow. This one may become Chris (or Debby if the other wave beats it). I predict this will be a real problem a week down the road when in the Caribbean, and from there this could easily become a hurricane.

Come on Chris you can do it...I see this thing is becoming organize pretty fast. This could do it. Its below the SAL, and there is very little dry air. The shear levels look low.

This will probably become an invest tonight or tomorrow if it holds together, and I would not be surprised to see a TD by Saturday (if it still looks good).
