WHAT?? A tv star in our midst? What are you doing Jeremy?

Well, not quite as cold as yesterday morning but non the less cool for this time of year, sitting at 34.5° at 0516 MST.

Not much else going on this early a.m., just waiting for the paper. Make it a GREAT day would ya? Oh hey Jeremey, can I have your autograph? "LOL!" Good Luck on your tv debut!

Howdy everyone. I have spent part of the evening working on the deck. I can't seem to get to sleep... maybe it is because I got a kitten. It is so cute. I named it Mocha. :)

I guess I will mosey on over to the Games forum for a few minutes before heading to bed. It is so great to see Eric back.

Night everyone!

I see no one stepped on the Porch for too long today.. maybe some quick visits, but nothing to say.

Nothing much here during my first full day back in Florida. Last night I stayed up for nearly 24 hours. I got up around noon on Wednesday, so have been up for just over 12 so far.

Congratulations, Garrett on your new kitten. How old is he or she? Have you had a pet before?

Have a great Thursday everyone. :)

Today was a slooooooow day on the phones at work. I can count the amount of calls I had in 4 HOURS on both hands! :o That's how slow it was. :o Relaxing though as a tradeoff.

We actually saw sun today! :D I'm so jazzed about that. The local mets say that should continue through the weekend too. :D Warmed up nicely this afternoon too since the sun came out early. :D

Other than that, was a mellow hump day. C ya on Thursday! Joshua

Morning everyone...

Sorry to hear that you were banned at TWC Big Dave, but now you can post here more. :)

Yes, I have a dog right now as well. I was a little concerned about how well they might get along. Cotton is my WestHighland Terrier, but he seems to not mind Mocha. By the way,David, I will stay away from the claws. ;)

Sandi... you're welcome. It was my small way of returning the kindness you bestowed the people of Pierce City.

Joshua... hope you see the sun again soon. :)

Have a great Thursday everyone,
Garrett :multi:

Good Morning!

Wasn't around too much the last few days, gotta touch of the stomach flu! Spent the better part of the day yesterday and evening in bed, haven't felt like eatin', doin' nuthin' but sleeping, ah well, I've been lucky so far, this is the first illness I've had in a year (cold, flu etc.)

Welcome back Eric! Welcome home Big Dave!

Well, that's 'nuff outta me, back to bed after a shot of Pepto Bismo (YUCK!)

Good afternoon everyone :D

Dennis, take care of yourself and get well soon.
Howdy Eric and Big Dave....sit back and stay awhile. :D

I actually woke up early this morning to thunderstorms...yes, I got a little rain along with house-shaking thunder. :D - but I only got .65" and other areas in Beaumont got 1.84" <<grrr>>
Oh well, I'm grateful for what I got...however, the ground is already dry.

MLB history was made last night!! The Houston Astros turned the tables on the New York Yankees, creating a little history of their own at Yankee Stadium Wednesday night when six pitchers combined to no-hit the Yankees in an 8-0 win, the most pitchers ever to combine on a no-hitter in the majors. The previous record was 4 pitchers. The Yankees had gone 6,980 games - the longest streak in big league history - without being no-hit!

There's more to this story....check out my thread in the Sports forum. Yes, I'm happy! My Astros pitchers...all 6 of them....were unbelievable!!

Dennis - If the Pepto doesn't work, try Ginger. I keep a bottle of capsules on hand all the time. Takes away nausea within 5 mins. Some people say it gives them heartburn (rarely), so just do one at a time with plenty of water a few mins apart until symptoms improve. Can get 'em right there at Walmart too. I wish I knew about them years ago when I was pregnant! Uhhhh, the MISERY :17:

Garrett - Have fun with that kitty! Post a picture if you can.

southerngale - RAIN!!! Woohoo!!!

Dave - Welcome back! Sorry about TWC thing. It's kind of a sore subject around here. Many here have been banned just for posting the storm2k link or for just asking a simple question to admin. Oh well, let the drive-by finkings begin!

Gulfbreezer - I just took my Jasmine to the vet today (annual shots). She's a 95 lb giant sissy! Shaking and whining the whole time. She's taking a power nap right now.

Josh - Yay, that marine layer is finally taking a hike!

Have a great day porch fans!

Do I smell KK's????? My sniffer is going full swing...I smell something and it has that out of the oven smell! :D Move it Crouton! :bx

Jeremy, did you job shadow at Meteorologist for a day? Those are fun...I could of told you what to expect. I worked at a News Station and Green Bay and that was part of my daily chores to do while at work. :multi: :Fade-color :ggreen: Yup, check with the mets on a constant basis! :D :Fade-color :D :ggreen: That is a fun job if you don't have NRD's breathing down your back (NRD's = Newsroom Directors).

I've been around...just been busy with the High Altitude Balloon stuff. Planning, Researching, etc.

Dave welcome aboard...yup, like Isobar said, TWC is a touchy subject...some are still members while others have climbed in the yacht for the ride over to storm2k.

Southerngale...I'm not one that likes the Yankees, but Houston must have done an awesome job to keep the 'powerhouse' Yankee Dynasty in check. :D :D I know I shouldn't be voting for Houston, because Milwaukee and Chi Cubs are conference rivals with Houston, but oh well, I'd rather vote for anyone BUT the Yankees.

I just saw something really cute!!! A man was petaling a sit down bike with his dog riding along on the back. The dog was sitting in his own perch enjoying the fresh air. :D It was such a neat site especially since my apartment is on a busy street in Downtown Milwaukee.

Welcome back Eric!!! :D :ggreen: Glad to see you haven't abandoned us.

Evening everyone. Well... despite some rain showers and even a little lightning I have finished the floor on the deck. It looks better than expected. My grandfather was impressed when he came over just a while ago.

I will try to post a picture of Mocha when I can get time to get the dig. camera back from my mother. She is a frequent borrower, but you have to prod her to be a returner. ;)
