David you can have some of our over 8 inches of rain this month. We sure have gone from drought to deluge! :o There is a good chance of rain in our forecasts for the next several days as well. Humidity is getting terrible and those damn mosquitos...
I don't want west nile. But, it beats Monkey Pox. Maybe i'll take SARS? Oh heck, it's Friday the 13th, i'll probably be bitten by a prarie dog that got stung by a mosquito w/ WNV that also has those poxm and it'll be from Ontario.

Oh wow, i'm not sure. North and South Topeka are divided by the Kansas river. I'm right by Burnett's mound on the SW side, Topeka NWS is on the NW side. I prefer to use the site FOE(KFOE for METAR's) which is Forbes Field/Topeka, Kansas. It's WAY closer.
Take for instance this year, I measured 8.55 inches of snow at my house. Topeka NWS got 12.6 or something around there. BIG difference.
See where Burnett's Mound is? See there 29th St. is? See where the damage path, Gage Blvd(N-S rd.) and 29th Street intersect? That's real close to my location. See where it says Wx Bureau to the NE? That's where the NWS TOP is.
