African loops

anyone have a loop of the african coast in which the image intervals are less than 3 hrs

dont think so... they have to be 6hrs due to international aggreements if i am correct... unless your a pro met, i dont think there are any out there..

I was able to get a loop with 15 min intervals from NRL but it wont load for some reason..
the problem has been there for about 2 months :roll:

That gives a 30 minute loop, which I'm rather surprised is there to be honest as it is Meteosat-8. The best on the EUMETSAT page is only every 3 hours for this area. http://www.eumetsat.int/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=444&l=en The loop for NW Europe for instance is hourly.

I'm not sure what problem you're having with it, but it seems to load fine for me.

The satellites are owned by EUMETSAT with help from the ESA which are funded by tax payers in the EU so you have to pay to get more frequent data. Although if I bought a satellite dish and a decoder I could get the images for free but not display them on the internet.

Well you have to pay for the licence in other places, it is just free here. Anyway I don't think you are really within range of the broadcasting system assuming you are in the USA, well its right at the outer limits anyway.
