Garrett....(*breeze bows her head in shame)
Those books....I packed them with bubble-wrap and actually
SEALED the box, yesterday, putting your address on it! So
sorry...sometimes, my brain needs prodded to remember,
these days! I get off at 1pm, tomorrow, so, I can make it to
the Post Office before they close. I haven't forgotten you,
Buddy!

Evening folks!!

DAVE!!!!! Hey Brother it's really good to see you again.....missed you....you FINK :jump: Lalalalalalalalala......I finked you I finked you....hahahahaha!!!

It was so nice to sit on my porch tonight and bask in a good old fashioned thunder storm. It rained cats and dogs too! A lull right now, might see one more round before it's all said and done.

Snowman, hope you feel better right quick fella..more power to you with Pepto, that stuff makes me gag....ICK..I vote for the ginger too, much easier going down.Say if you want I'll mail you one of my mater plants, I think it can be done, be glad to share with you and Michelle.

Four days and counting til our son's surgery.Pray to God that all goes well. He's coming along splendidly, gaining weight, starting to recover energy....he actually came to me and said....mom, I'm bored....I smiled and said to myself, that's a sure sign a kid is feeling better when they say I'm bored!

Hubby put our A/C in the bedroom today.....yes!!! I am not fond of warm weather, I like it nice and cold, cold enough in my room for snow!!whooooo nellie wouldn't that be smashingly neat!

Garrett.....congrats on the new kitty!!sounds like a real sweetie.I'm in the process now of convincing hubby to let me have a calico kitty. My friend's cat had a litter and one was a callie....I love callies! We already have three and my hubbies motto is......NO MORE PETS!! Yeah....well.....he can be worn down, just takes persistance :D

Snack time for me....have a wonderful night folks.....enjoy your weather!!

Blessings, Raine

Evening folks...most of you back east are sleeping in the La-Z-Boy (except you, Jackie), but thought I'd check in here on the porch.

Had business in Cottonwood AZ today, then lunch in Jerome. Great weather up there. About 5,000' elevation and some 15 degrees cooler than Phoenix.

That is definitely God's country any time of year. Great visibility of some 60 miles at least.

Looking forward to the weekend. Feeling a bit under the weather with a sore throat, some aching joints, and a little feverish. Probably caught a virus from sharing those KK's with so many folks on my birthday! Everybody grabbin' in that box at once!!!

If I do feel good enough, I want to float away an hour or two in the pool tomorrow night after dark...just floatin' on my back and looking up at the same stars you see!

Ya know Raine, my friend, that one gift that has come out of Dakota's ordeal came in the form of the "B" word....bored. Under any other circumstances, you might shoe him away and tell him to find something to do...but this time, like no other, the "B" word also stood for "Blessing!"

Good Morning everyone,

Oh Ticka, I feel the same way. Sooooooo glad it's Friday. The agenda for this weekend is painting my bedroom. It's very oriental now so I plant on trying a new faux finish. Cross your fingers.

Poppysky sounds like you've been hangin out with Dennis. Both you guys sick!!!!!!! Sounds kinda fishy to me. jk ((Hugs)) to both of you and I hope you're feeling better today.

Raine, since you built a new wall, I, personally, think you should be "allowed" to get the kitty!!!

Gulfbreezer, I'll put on a fresh pot of coffee and brew some Earl Grey for Raine and Miss Mary and anyone else who may have acquired the taste for this lovely tea. Shannon, I brought some WARM KK's!!!!! Watch out for Crouton and the chocolate covered ones.

I better get to work!!!!
Take care
Karan

Oh, by the way, BIG DAVE IS A FINK

Howdy... I thought I would stop by the front porch for just a minute to wish everyone a Happy Friday! Even though it is the 13th, it can still turn out to be a good day... especially if you catch a lot of fish! ;)

Hello everyone on the Front Porch today!

Temperatures in the 90s while waiting scattered thunderstorms in the next hour for the late afternoon into the evening. The rain came down heavy for a time yesterday.

The Full Moon is not today/tonight... it is tomorrow morning, the 14th at 7:16 AM Eastern.

Hey, I've never been in a Front Porch thread before, so I figured I'd stop by.

NWS messed up again and predicted 60% chance of storms and what do we get? Zip. It was cloudy until 1:00, which was the main problem, I believe. Yesterday they predicted 30% chance and we had two rounds with a total about 0.30" of rain and other places in the area got even more with some training.

Despite the storms, it's been a good day. I've been doing a lot of reading in my book which I received as a gift from my ex-science teacher. Once again, my perception of the universe has been turned upside down, but that's okay. It has to happen someday.

Sounds like a good idea. Hey, what's the format here? Just shoot the breeze and that kind of stuff?

I think I'll just watch for a while (much like in real life).
