West Coast Of Florida/panhandle landfall???
Are their any synoptics down the road that might bring the tropical system northward along the Florida west coast or Panhandle??

I knew I'd be logging back into this board. Not too early to prepare, I guess.
I'm still hoping we could escape a direct hit this year. We just got everything back together in Navarre, and this is now a really nice place to live. Not to wish misery on anyone but I sure wish this could just go away over the islands and mountains. Any storm at all in the Gulf this time of year is going to cause all of us some pain. Especially with gas at $3.00 plus a gallon, who can afford to run a generator for long periods of time. And if it hits Houston, the whole country is going to start crying. Then again if NOLA takes another hit I think it will cease to exist as a major American city. Not looking good for any of us.

Hey Dog, long time no see......I will go with that general vicinity for now and points eastward. To early to tell this far out if the ridge will remain to steer this any further west. We will know more this Thursday or Friday for sure.

Chris I think the bottom line is a gulf coast hit is all around BAD. It's been a rough couple of years for alot of us.

Have you checked the price of propane or natural gas lately?..It would be cheaper eating lots of beans!!!! J/K

Keep an eye out for a trough approaching in the next 3-5 days. Otherwise, changes are the West Coast of FL. at least, is safe.

Thanks for that one....will look for sure....fortunately for me I'm on the same power grid as the fire station, so they get the power back on rather fast. After Dennis I had power back in less than 48 hours.
