So if Chris somehow comes back to life, should we conjure up the ol' Peaches & Herb classic "Reunited" for EWG?

Ha!

It would give the phrase, "I was lost, but now I'm found" ,a whole new meaning!

There is a little convection getting closer to the center but those satellite graphics are still NSFW. :cheesy:

sorry for multiple posts,

But the moisture is starting to spin around him from the SE. Not saying that he's back but there may be more fun in this new recon mission this afternoon.

And just for you...on the latest IR4, there are a few dots of convection closer to the center.

Go Chris! You can do it! Sorry, you got to feel bad for him, that's all. Being stripped naked right in the middle of the ocean and all. :fools:

Yeah... that's so embarrassing. :P

On San Juan Radar loop you can make out two levels of convection - isolated thunderstorm (red spots) moving north with LL flow and a cone of green and yellow N of San Juan moving S with UL flow. So:
1) Chris is still able to lift air all the way to the upper troposphere and generate convection
2) That air is very dry, because it doesn't seem to generate any rain or clouds until its really up there.
3) Not quite dead yet but I don't see how he could recover if he's lofting such dry air and is only a few hours away from Hispaniola cutting off moisture from the south.

The only way I see this thing blowing-up with convection is if it gets in an area of strong diffluence from the Upper-low over the Bahamas. Either way it is still goodbye! Maybe just for a short time!

You can also see most of the deeper convection is still getting sheared to the south. You can see the low-level stiff crisscrossing with the deeper convection that's getting sheared.

anyone notice that the SHIPS model now brings Chris up to a 74mph cane in 120 hrs? What's up with that?
