one more question so please answer

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Will - you seem like a nice enough person, but these generic questions are hard to answer. All areas are at risk, some might speculate some more than others. Every storm is different and every situation is different. There is no consensous as to east coast v gulf coast. Some speculate theories, but they are just that theories.

Read more than you type, there is plenty of info to learn from.

I read your statement even though you said its hard to predict the storms or hurricanes than how come Dr.Gray is predicting more east coast storms or hurricanes based on his august update and a near average gulf season?????

That's just what Dr. Gray does. He is the Predictor. He constantly makes predictions and then makes changes and updates to his predictions and so on. I don't think he is very good -- especially last year when he was beyond terrible -- but other people on here really like him.

Dr Gray has grad students that look at all the climate and atmospheric data for a given season, look at other similar years and make a prediction based on variables only he is aware of. See if he has a site. That may give you an answer.

BTY: Thjis is a message board, not a chat room and responses may be slow to come or nonexistent. When you are demanding people want to avoid you. I felt your statement that you had waited a long time after less than an hour was uncalled for.

Sorry Mods---I could not hold it any longer.

I am NOT trying to be demanding. All I am asking is in Dr.Gray's august update I just thought he said more east coast hurricanes or storms including florida because Didn't he said in Dr.Gray's august the 3rd update that a 64percent chance of a storm or major storm striking the east coast including florida and a 26 percent chance in the gulf of mexico what does that mean??? please explain

You might also want to look at the link I posted above for thoughts on forecasting landfalls.

The first post is divided in half by a black line. EVERYTHING under that black line discusses strike probability (landfall) forecasts.
