An area damage by Hurricane Katrina storm surge/Now Pics

Even though we didn't have the damage like our neighbors to the west we did have storm surge near the beaches. Fairhope is known for their parks and the Big Pier. The Big Pier, concrete blocks, were completely washed away. It is almost finished but I didn't get any pictures of it. Amazing what a year can do. The park that goes down the beach was badly damage. It basically had to be rebuilt, etc. It is home to many birds as you can tell in these pictures.
