No doubt. We've nursed a great many storms back to health here at S2K .... but I think this one is going to drive a few of us into bona fide insanity....

I have to admit, I like this little guy. My favorite storms have frequently been the ones that drove everybody crazy. :P

You know what? I'm with you on this one. Chris is driving me crazy, but he's also teaching us things (his little striptease was fascinating). And I always root for the underdog. So you go Chris.... :D

Chris ain't dead till the circulation is gone. I remember Fredrick in 79 that weakened in about the same place, crossed most of Cuba as a week depression and one he emergered into the GOM...well, the rest is history. So, don't pronounce Chris dead yet......MGC

Okay, let's not mention that "F" storm, okay?! I do remember my father talking about how they thought Frederic was going to die over Cuba. However, when Frederic got into the Gulf, he revived. My father had a pretty good instinct for hurricanes because I remember him telling my mother to stock up at the store before her usual shopping day (which would have been the day after Frederic hit) and he brought lots of batteries home from work. This was two days before we were even under a hurricane watch! I miss him so much, especially when it's storm season. I can still see him listening to the weather radio and studying his hurricane map on the wall! I just hope and pray Chris does wind down and doesn't make it to the Gulf as a closed circulation.

Baygirl, I appreciate your touching post. I'll bet your father would be pleased that you found S2K since he was so interested in the tropics. My dad was sort of like that, too, though not much technology then like there is nowadays. Bless you and stay safe this season.

Why does the topic title still say the Fat Lady has yet to sing and that chris lives? The Fat Lady is now off stage since she sang a while ago....
