You can see it on radar bottom dead center.

Thanks, I understand the angle thing.
From the 8:05 TWD
A 1013 MB SURFACE LOW
HAS DEVELOPED AT 05/2100 UTC OFF THE COAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI
DELTA NEAR 29N88W
It's visible on the IR and the radar. I think it does exist.
I think it is moving more west right now (based on radar), but I don't think it will have enough time to become anything serious. If it can slow down...may be, but I see this as being more of a severe weather maker in SE Texas tomorrow which could include a few damaging wind reports. I will not rule out a TD or weak TS yet, but it is losing it's opportunity quickly.ROCK wrote:Nice flare up on the infared......Interesting to see if it persist tonight. Sure is booking it WSW.....
GFS is much better than the WRF in tropics..Extremeweatherguy wrote:Hmm...the new 0Z NAM looks interesting. It tries to slow down and develop this low and moves it into SE Texas in about 30-36 hours.

The GFS, however, is a bit faster and brings this in as just a heavy rain maker in about 16-24 hrs.

Here in the Triangle just some moderate rain with Lightning. Worst of it passed north of I-10LaBreeze wrote:Hey KFDM, did you all get any action out of that horrendous thunderstorm that came out of LA and rode in just north of Beaumont? I heard that there was wind damage and trees down around Jasper. Hope all is well on your end.
