It's not often this time of year that this board is this dead, usually there is SOMETHING going on or to watch, but I do think that this will change come September.

I never said this wont develop... I'd be surprised if it doesn't develop.

But I right now do not expect a very strong system out of this, TD or TS is what I am expecting

And never use WV to determine if there is a LLC. You wont see a LLC on WV

I am seeing a very broad area of low-mid level turning. There is also uppper level turning that is making it hard to key in on a certain place.

By nighttime visible I assume that you are talking about shortwave IR satellite?

:gags:

"Nighttime visible" is so misleading. Whoever started that term should be kicked in the junk.

Actually, that's what I meant Derek. I"m looking for a first chance of a hurricane to track this season in the Atlantic. Something that's only going to develop into a weak tropical storm doesn't interest me in the least.. I'm just wondering when we will ever see our first hurricane. The shear seems to bad out there right now, that it doesn't appear a hurricane can develop anywhere right now... So I guess the question is, will shear relax enough for a storm to progress to hurricane status by the beginning of September? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
