) I think 24 hour news has been a catastrophe in screwing up people's proper perspective of what IS important. I won't go into why I feel this as it's "off-topic" but yes, their "obsessing" over the same stories over, and over, and over again are badly influencing peoples' sense of priorities. My intent was NEVER to offend anyone.....

Now to end this mutual-admiration society, and hopefully end it on a note of accord, I think we all agree on the "important" point, and that is that what Gibson said was both over-the-edge, and not to be without appropriate consequences. What we've all gone overboard with, was reading between the lines in efforts to either trivialize, or lionize its import. When all is said and done.. it's irrelevant. It was a distasteful repugnant diatribe that merits the contempt it garners--end of story.... NEXT ISSUE PLEASE!
