Hi, everyone. I'm new and have a question

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

I've been a lurker for a long time and ya'll seemed very well versed in that which you speak of...the models, highs, lows, yadda yadda. I'm facinated by your threads and insight, but is there a layman's terms forum here anywhere? *laugh* I'm feeling really inadequate around here.

I'm in Beaumont, Texas. *waves*

Welcome fellow Texan....post what you see and someone I am sure will explain it to you. Also, it is good to bookmark some of the links people on here post for future reference.

Well, glad to have you posting here. Here is a site where you can look up terms that you may be unfamiliar with in order to help you understand what we're talking about. I know it's helped me somewhat trying to understand some of the things that I didn't know about.

I am also a new member here and was about to post this same question. Thanks for the links everyone! I created a folder of bookmarks for weather and added those links. I hope to soon build up enough basic knowledge to figure out what you guys are talking about :D

I have put together a page of bookmarks. Nevermind the junk on the top but, you will see what I'm talking about. I really like the fact with netscape/firefox you can make a couple of different profiles.

Always feel free to ask or PM someone -- most of us won't bite. :cheesy: Everyone on here learned from somewhere or the only was to further that process is to ask questions.
