This one will be like the rest of them. There just is to much shear and dry air and the ull's out there that just likes to kill them. If we had a year like last year then yes it would stand a good chance to development. But not this year. I think when we do get a storm it will be homegrown and not CV. JMO

which it why I'm not worrying about. On the outside chance something does form, at least it looks like it will be a fish.

In fact, many runs of the GFS show many of the disturbances in the next 10 days take a northward turn out to sea.............

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico...
A vigorous surface low pressure area is producing numerous showers
and heavy squalls between the West Coast of Africa and the Cape
Verde Islands. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph have been reported with
this system today. Although environmental conditions are only
marginally favorable for any significant development to occur...a
tropical depression could still form before the system reaches the
Cape Verde Islands tomorrow. Interests near the Cape Verde Islands
should closely monitor the progress of this system as it moves
west-northwest to northwestward at 15 to 20 mph.

I define Fish as a storm that DOESN'T hit any islands or other landmass...I takes it for granted that people know that's what I mean, but I do realize if a hurricane hits an island that it's not a fish storm, but the chance of a hurricane going over a small island as it curves out to sea is pretty small when you look at how small the island is in the expanse of the ocean.

Yeah, 1982 Beryl killed nearly 120 people, and it was only a tropical storm.

What the members refer to a fish from this system is not affecting any landmasses in the Western Hemisphere that includes the Lesser Antilles,Bermuda and the U.S East coast apart from the Cape Verde Islands.
